Work has been so hectic the past few weeks and I've had plenty of entertaining scenarios to deal with. By the way, aren't holidays supposed to put people in a better mood? I think I've dealt with more rude people in the last month than I have all year long between Target and Stripes. This trend hasn't seemed to gotten any better during gaming sessions of World of Warcraft either.

I'll admit that I had a lot of fun the other day though. My whole gaming career thus far up until the past several months has been playing a Mage, but now I'm filling the role of a Healer. Namely the Priest class. Until I started playing this class, I didn't realize how many people were back peddlers, especially in dungeons and raids. The other day I was running a random dungeon and during two different areas of the dungeon (namely boss pulls), I had a Rogue and a Hunter consistently stand in fire, poison, shadow, or what not until they died because I couldn't keep up the healing on them while at the same time trying to keep the tank alive. But once they and the other quitters left, it turned out to be a fun group. I'm not one of those types of players to read into every little instance before I do them. I've always been adventuresome and like to test the waters myself without reading a guide. I always do better when I trust my instincts and my natural playing ability.

But yes!~ Back to my point about grumpy people. All week, I've done random dungeon parties in WoW and have found so many quitters, whiners, and just all around assholes expecting a quick run to fast rewards. And when they don't get them, they flip out and go rageface and then leave the party. I can generally tell when a party is going to be bad from the very beginning. When one of the DPS yells "tank plz pull fast", one of two things happen. Either the tank does this and gets overwhelmed and we did. Or the tank and the DPS argue about it until both are distracted to the point of not doing anything right and we die either way. It's a good thing that I picked Night Elf for my race because I wear out the Shadowmeld key. LOL Maybe I just see things differently than most. I like more of a challenge.

In other news, I'm really enjoying my new Kindle. When I first got it, I didn't realize all of the things you can download and read on it besides books. My favorite blogs and newspapers are also available too. I've already devoured 3 books since I got the thing.

<georss:box>31.374514899999998 -99.6888229 32.238107899999996 -98.4253949</georss:box>

Moving Forward and Other Things

What a horrible year to have a curse. Seriously, I'm glad this year is coming to a close. The numbness of the amount of grief I've had to endure this year has been a test for me. There were times when I wanted to just give up and stop moving but I think I am through the woods of madness now. I've already decided what my New Years Resolution is going to be: smile more and shed less tears. Maybe even lose some more weight. I can't wait until it starts to warm up again so I can go on my daily walks once more. Now that I have a Kindle, I'll be able to bring it with me and read under the shade of the trees.

So 2012 is finally here. This is going to be an interesting year to say the least. We have the Election this year and it will be the election of a lifetime. We might even have zombies running around the streets and with the upcoming apocalypse we will get to witness all of the silly people buying up provisions. What more could you ask for? I'll be watching this closely and will post my opinion on these matters from time to time. But at the end of the year, we will still all be here so you crazy people who think the world is going to end....please don't stop being crazy. It gives me a good laugh.

Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that I am looking forward to playing Diablo 3 when it comes out soon. I've been stirring around in World of Warcraft again for the past 3 months and I am eagerly awaiting for the change in pace. It feels like so many good games are coming out this year and there is so little time to devote to them. Not to mention with all of the other fun things that will be going on. So here is to another year of life on this mud ball. May all of you be invaded by Bunnies and other critters.
